The Love List

paris The Love List - Paris I am totally in love with all things Parisian...the culture, the language, the shopping and the food. The possibilities in such a beautiful city are endless but here is a short-list of some of my favourite things I made notice of on my last trip. Bon Voyage! ♥ Paris is shopping heaven, with so many beautiful places to choose from. Here is a condensed list of must-sees; Colette for the latest trends, Didier Ludot for amazing vintage designer labels, Merci for cool shabby chic, Le Bon Marche for covetable collections under one roof and Galeries Lafayette for choice of brands.

♥ Pershing Hall, now a luxury boutique hotel was built by the Count of Paris at the end of the 18th century as a beautiful townhouse. If you are not able to stay here, you must visit for a drink or dinner. The courtyard restaurant boasts a spectacular 30 metre vertical garden that shouldn't be missed. 49 Rue Pierre Charron 75008 Paris. ♥ For a sweet treat and afternoon tea the best place to visit is Laduree. Known for their macaroons, pastries and beautiful packaging, everything they do is delightful! There are 4 shops in Paris and they are also in Harrods in London, a visit to their website will inspire you. http://www.laduree.fr/en/scene ♥ Culture and art are in abundance in Paris but a favourite museum is the Musee d'Orsay. Housed in a former train station on the banks of the Seine, it shows artworks from 1848 through to 1914. The Impressionist painters are all here including Cezanne, Monet and Degas. Rue de Lille 75343 Paris. ♥ If you are a tea lover, no visit to Paris is complete without a stop off at the Mariage Freres Tea Emporium in the Marias. Here you can choose from 100's of expertly blended teas from around the world, the French Breakfast is a favourite and will have you hooked! 30 Rue du Bourg-Tibourg, Paris 4e. ♥ For a well priced dinner, with a tiny set menu head to Restaurant Frenchie. The food is inspiring and tasty and chef Gregory Marchand prepares your meal from beginning to end. Magnifique! 5 Rue du Nil, 75002 Paris. Bon Voyage!
